DESCRIPTION - ACCOUNT MANAGER

EEC is seeking Point of Sale (POS) and ATM sales persons for full time positions in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, as well as in Lusaka, Zambia.

Position Duties

Enhance sales and expand our network for point of sale devices (CREON POS) that have the capabilities of performing debit and credit cards as well as many other value added services on the same mobile device.

Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contacts towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales - especially managing personal time and productivity.

Plan and manage personal business portfolio and region according to an agreed market development strategy.

Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.

Use customer and prospect contact activity tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems.

Assist in planning and implementation of local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising and exhibitions.

Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods.

Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.

Record, analyse, report and administer according to systems and requirements.

Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.

Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.

Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.

Will be involved in customer installation and training. Provides support to customers where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature. This position generally interacts directly with the customer.

Position Requirements

  • • 2+ years of sales or retail experience.
  • • Own transport
  • • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to effectively approach varying customers.
  • • Knowledge of payments processing industry is a plus.
  • • Knowledge of IT industry a plus.
  • • Proven decision making skills.
  • • Excellent communication skills.
  • • Ability to work in high pressure and sensitive environments.
  • • Ability to meet tight deadlines and targets.
  • • Customer Service oriented with good interpersonal skills.
  • • Good administration and computer literacy skills essential.
