Is TAPATAG Secure?

• • The TapaTag is a highly 3DES encrypted secure smart card chip. It is more secure than the Chip and Pin card.
• • The wallet is also password protected, so you have full security when making a payment. However, you as the cardholder can choose whether you want a pin at all or if you want to set a limit as to when you want a PIN to come into effect. For example, you may not want to put in a PIN for all transactions under R50. All of that is in your hands.
• • The TapaTag website is also highly secure, so all personal and sensitive information is kept safe at all times.
• • All TapaTags can be turned off remotely if lost/stolen.

Extra Benefits!

Every time you use your TapaTag, whether it be for CashBacks, Prepaid or using your Wonga to purchase goods and services at your favourite TapaTag store, you are being rewarded.

EEC has attached additional policies to your TapaTag;

• • Funeral Policy, underwritten by Sanlam, for R5000 which is increased to R9000 if by accidental death OR
• • A Legal Aid policy OR
• • an Excess Policy to the claim value of R2,500 (one claim per cardholder per year). These are underwritten by Tradesure.

You will get these policies free of charge, all you have to do is keep using your TapaTag. It's as easy as that!
